Fast Food -Calamari

Ingredients:

Squid - 2 pcs
All purpose flour/plain flour
salt
black pepper
herbs (mixed or whatever you have)
Oil (grapeseed oil ones if you are health conscious)

Preparation:

1.Clean squid- remove the inside, peel of the purplish skin.
2. Cut squid into rings.
3. Place flour into a plate - add salt (a dash of it, or two if you like it salty. A dash of black pepper, and some dried herbs, whatever you got - I used this italian mixture) That's it. Use a spoon to mix the flour so that it is well distributed.
4. Dry the squid with a wet towel. Just to make sure that the squid is dry. I am rather lazy, I just use a pc of kitchen towel and place squid on top, then I use another pc of kitchen towel on top and I just pat it. That's it. Don't kill yourself by drying it individually ring by ring. It's not worth it.

Cooking:
1. Heat oil in wok ( I don't use alot of oil, I basically shallow fry it)
2. Throw the squid into flour. DO NOT ADD WATER INTO FLOUR. Just tossed the squid into the flour and play with it.
3. Place squid one by one into the heated wok.
4. Fry till golden brown.

Serve with a wedge of lemon and tartar sauce. Enjoy!
